How to create Search Alerts

Run your search and refine it until it is retrieving what you want. Click on “Create Alert.” You will be prompted to log-in to your personal account; if you don’t have one yet, you can register for a free account. These are e-mail alerts. If you want to subscribe to an RSS alert, you can click on the RSS button and subscribe.

► Save your search
► Click Search History/Alerts link
► If you have not already signed in to your personal account you will be prompted to do so.

How to create Table of Contents Alerts

Use the E-journals list linked from OSU Libraries home page or use the Publications tab in the Business Source Premier database to find the publication page for the journal you want, then click “Journal Alert.” You will need to sign in to an existing (free) Ebsco personal account (or create a new one via the “I’m a new user” link), then fill in the form as requested to create the contents alert.

► Save the search as a Search Alert.

How to create a Citation Alert
► Search for an article
► Go into the full record
► Click on Create Citation Alert on the right side of the page.
