The Oregon State University Archives collects, describes, preserves, exhibits, and makes accessible to the public permanent records created or received by OSU departments and offices. In addition, the Archives acquires and retains records of private origin that complement those of the university.
The Archives’ collections provide information on:
- Teaching, research, and outreach programs
- Faculty, administrators, and alumni
- Campus buildings and development
- Student life
The Archives’ holdings are available to OSU students, faculty, staff, and the public for research under the following conditions:
- Patrons must use the records in the Archives, observing all instructions for the use of archival materials.
- Access to records restricted by law will be limited to individuals authorized by statute, by the depositing department, or by court order.
- Patrons must honor any restrictions placed by donors of private materials.
